Kingsize wool blanket
A client asked me for a blanket large enough and heavy enough to protect him from nighttime mountain temperatures without the use of a sleeping bag or tent. I wove this piece in two sections, each 57" wide by 96" long, using 9 1/2 pounds of wool. I sewed it together to form one blanket that's 112" wide by 96" long. He tells me it has passed all temp tests, so far.
Similar blankets can be woven. The price for a single-width (up to 56" wide), 96" long would be $300, plus materials. The king-size, above, would be $500, plus materials.
